Natürliche Süßwasser-Ökosysteme von Flussdeltas sind aus biologischer Sicht äußerst artenreich und gleichzeitig sehr anfällig gegenüber anthropogenen und technogenen Einflüssen. In dieser Arbeit werden die aktuellen Prozesse der katastrophalen anthropogenen Zerstörung der Delta-Ökosysteme des Dnister und der Donau im nördlichen Schwarzmeerraum am Beispiel von Hintergrundarten der Fauna - Graugänsen und anderen Sumpf- und Feuchtgebietsvögeln - untersucht. Es wurde eine ökologische Begutachtung der für die natürliche Umwelt zerstörerischsten anthropogenen Einflüsse durchgeführt - der massenhaften Jagd auf Sumpfvögel in der Schwarzmeerküste im Zeitraum 1974 bis 2011 sowie der Wasserregulierungsmaßnahmen durch den mächtigen Staudamm der Wasserkraftwerke (WKK) am Fluss Dnister in den Jahren 1983 bis 2014. Es werden die katastrophalen Folgen der Nutzung der natürlichen Ressourcen der Flussdeltas der Schwarzmeerküste durch den Menschen beschrieben und Empfehlungen zum Schutz der natürlichen Umwelt im Süden der Ukraine gegeben. Das Buch richtet sich an Studierende und Lehrende biologischer und ökologischer Fachbereiche sowie an Beamte der Ministerien für Umwelt und Forstwirtschaft, Fachleute aus dem Bereich Wasserkraft, Jagdausübende und Verantwortliche für die Wasser-, Energie- und lebenden natürlichen Ressourcen der Schwarzmeerküste.
