I would like to add a few words on my own behalf about the origins, choice of topic and development of my thesis. After my fifth semester, I completed an exchange semester at the Agricultural University in Tbilisi. Although I come from Georgia myself, I had little to do with viticulture in the past. During this time, I rediscovered my homeland and made many contacts with wineries. I find Qvevri wine production very exciting and interesting. I had many technical discussions with Georgian winemakers about this special wine-making technique. I noticed that tourists’ interest in Georgian viticulture has also grown from year to year. That is why I decided to write my bachelor’s thesis on Georgian wine tourism. I used my last visit to my home country to research facts and information on site and to conduct fieldwork for the interviews.
