Una serie di 11 analoghi dell’ossadiazolo è stata sottoposta a previsione delle proprietà molecolari e somiglianza farmacologica mediante i software Molinspiration e MolSoft, nonché a parametri di lipofilia e solubilità utilizzando il programma ALOGPS 2.1. I composti che seguivano la 'Regola del cinque' di Lipinski sono stati sintetizzati per lo screening antimicrobico come farmaci/principi attivi biodisponibili per via orale. Inoltre, la struttura dei composti sintetizzati è stata confermata da analisi spettrali (IR, NMR e massa) e i composti (4a-k) sono stati valutati per le attività antibatteriche e antimicotiche secondo il protocollo standard. N-(2-metilfenil)-5-(4-clorofenil)-1,3,4-ossadiazol-2-ammina, 4c ha mostrato la massima attività antibatterica, mentre N-(2-metilfenil)-5-(4-idrossifenil)-1,3,4-ossadiazol-2-ammina, 4d ha mostrato la massima attività antifungina.
