Wykorzystanie paneli fotowoltaicznych do wytwarzania energii elektrycznej staje się coraz bardziej powszechne, zarówno w dużych systemach, jak i w autonomicznych systemach o niskim zużyciu energii. W tym kontekście, aby maksymalnie wykorzystać wytworzoną energię, panel powinien zawsze pracować w punkcie maksymalnej mocy (MPP). Niniejsza praca ma na celu przeprowadzenie analizy porównawczej dwóch technik śledzenia punktu maksymalnej mocy MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking): tradycyjnej metody Perturbation and Observation (P&O) oraz metody opartej na logice rozmytej. System fotowoltaiczny został zamodelowany w MATLAB/Simulink® w taki sposób, aby przedstawiać charakterystyczną krzywą V-I modułu PV, która opiera się na danych dostępnych w katalogach komercyjnych paneli fotowoltaicznych. Na podstawie wyników symulacji przeprowadzono badanie porównawcze technik sterowania, które pozwoliło stwierdzić, że sterownik wykorzystujący logikę rozmywą wykazał lepszą wydajność i skuteczność w utrzymywaniu MPP niż sterowanie oparte na technice P&O.
