Celem niniejszego badania jest analiza wykorzystania naturalnych absorbentów jako ekonomicznych adsorbentów do usuwania metali ciężkich ze ścieków. Eksperymenty przeprowadzono w systemie okresowym i zbadano wpływ pH, ilości adsorbentu, czasu kontaktu oraz początkowego stężenia metali ciężkich. Do analizy adsorpcji metali ciężkich i szybkości reakcji zastosowano najczęściej spotykane izotermy i kinetykę adsorpcji; określono również cechy morfologiczne naturalnych adsorbentów przed i po procesie za pomocą skaningowego mikroskopu elektronowego (SEM).
