Nancy Wake - The White Mouse shares the remarkable life of Nancy Wake, a fearless woman who embraced life’s challenges with gusto. She is best known for her courageous service with the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) during World War II. After several years working as a civilian courier between British military officers and the French Resistance, she returned to France - this time parachuting behind German lines - to gather intelligence on enemy movements and create as much disruption for the German army as possible. Although the British government classified the wartime records of Nancy and the other women who served in the SOE for some thirty years, Nancy famously declared, 'If the records of the men can be released, then so can mine.' In time, she became one of the most celebrated SOE agents and remained a compelling public figure throughout her long and extraordinary life.  Donna Pedace is the Executive Director Emeritus of both the Eugene O’Neill Theater and Museum in Waterford, Connecticut, and the Spanish      Colonial Arts Society and Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has written and published several acclaimed, award-winning books, including The Traditional Spanish Market of Santa Fe: History and Artists, Scandalous Women of the Old West: Women Who Dared to Be Different, and Women Warriors: The Hidden Spies of WWII. Through her writing, Pedace brings to life the untold stories of remarkable women who shaped history with courage and conviction.
