Serious problems have long been apparent for the scientific understanding of life, in particular with regards to unusual behaviors. The general challenge unfolding for that understanding or vision, though, is in identifying the DNA basis for much of our inheritance. Without such a DNA/genetic basis science’s vision of life and evolution does not work.In parallel with such challenges are concerns about the general fallout from science’s mechanistic vision of life. That vision, herein described as the cornerstone of scientism, has become an intellectual juggernaut. The latter half of this book takes on that juggernaut via critical examination of some of the works of Steven Pinker and Sam Harris. 3
