Ways to improve energy efficiency in municipal heat supply

In accordance with the Republic of Kazakhstan law 'On Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency,' Kazakhstan was one of the first countries in the CIS to undertake reforms in the housing and utilities sector. Kazakhstan’s climate means it uses a lot of heat energy. But the energy efficiency of the current centralized heating systems is really low. Heat loss is as high as 50% of the original fuel heat. This book is devoted to the current problem of finding energy-saving technologies and engineering solutions for the construction of buildings and structures with minimal heat loss, i.e., the solution of two interrelated problems: saving fuel and energy resources and reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the environment. In her work, the author analyzed and identified the main problems of the municipal infrastructure: high level of wear and tear of engineering networks and structures; low level of provision of resource consumption metering devices; technological backwardness of the industry, including weak practice of applying innovative energy and resource-saving technologies and measures.
