Die Verwendung von didaktischen Modellen zur Veranschaulichung von Mendels Kreuzungen ist eine der Möglichkeiten, diese Konzepte auf eine andere Art zu erarbeiten. Die Erstellung einer Simulation, mit der die Schüler analysieren können, wie die von Mendel in den Experimenten, die die Grundlage für das erste Gesetz bildeten, vorgenommenen Kreuzungen zustande kamen. In der vorliegenden Studie wird der Einsatz eines didaktischen Modells vorgeschlagen, um das Verständnis der grundlegenden Konzepte und Kreuzungen des ersten Mendelschen Gesetzes zu fördern und einen alternativen Ansatz zu den erklärend-dialogischen Strategien zu schaffen.
