The cornerstone and foundation of TRUTH has not, throughout the history of philosophy, ever been stated. The cornerstone and foundation of truth is, I think, like & unlike, combined with repetition. Were there no repetition, or, at least, approximate and apparent repetition of occurrences, there could be no truth. Were there no repetition for perception to get hold of in terms of varying qualities, there could be no recognition, no building of knowledge, no truth. Instead, all would be totally fragmentary, unordered, utterly chaotic, and no knowledge could adhere to that condition. In fact, there would be no world nor universe in that condition.
