Summer Meadows has always felt safe in her hometown of Blue Ashe, surrounded by friends Cheyenne and Ruby Jean. But when she becomes the target of a dangerous stalker, everything changes. The town sheriff, who also happens to be her ex fiancé, is doing his best to keep her safe, but the stalker’s twisted game, known as The Tick Tock game, proves to be a challenge for everyone involved. The game involves a series of clues that lead Summer on a dangerous scavenger hunt to save someone’s life. The first clue appears innocuous enough, but soon it becomes clear that the stakes are high and the clock is ticking. Summer must use all of her wits and resources to solve the puzzles and save the victim before it’s too late. As the game progresses, the clues become more and more difficult, and the pressure mounts on Summer. She begins to feel like she’s caught in a never-ending loop of the game, with no escape in sight. The killer seems to be always one step ahead, taunting her with cryptic messages and leaving ominous signs. Despite her fear and frustration, Summer refuses to give up. She knows that lives are at stake and she’s determined to stop the killer once and for all. But as she delves deeper into the mystery, she realizes that not everything is as it seems. Secrets from her past come to light, and she begins to question who she can trust. In a heart-stopping climax, Summer confronts the killer and uncovers the shocking truth behind The Tick Tock game. The resolution is both satisfying and unexpected, leaving readers breathless until the very end. With well-drawn characters, a gripping plot, and plenty of twists and turns, this cozy mystery short story will keep readers guessing until the final page.
