A Cove (an inlet from the sea) on an island on North America’s northwest coast has existed for a millennium, and visitors have come and gone. The Cove does not want visitors, and when some arrive to seek shelter or just to relax, it protects its beauty. The Cove will react if anyone fails to respect it. Some visitors went home happily; some perished on the rocks at the entrance to the Cove; and others were attacked by natives. Was the Cove responsible for these events? When a receptive visitor stops by, the Cove is prepared to share some of its memories.
