L’adoucissant à base de silicone est le produit chimique le plus important et le plus couramment utilisé dans la teinture et la pêche. Il joue un rôle significatif dans le département de finition du traitement des textiles. Les fibres sont souvent traitées avec un adoucissant à base de silicone afin de conférer une douceur et une souplesse initiales aux produits textiles fabriqués à partir de ces fibres. L’adoucissant à base de silicone peut donner aux textiles un aspect doux et moelleux. Une stabilité et une durabilité adéquates peuvent réduire le problème de l’adhérence des rouleaux et de la formation d’huile flottante. En général, il s’agit d’un liquide épais, incolore et transparent, facile à diluer. Il présente une excellente affinité avec tous les types de tissus, y compris les tissus en coton tricotés, les tissus en coton tissés, les tissus en polyester, le jute, etc.
