Sustainable agriculture is basically defined as the practice of agriculture through environment friendly techniques. In this book, topics pertaining to resource management for sustainable agricultural development have been presented. The book discusses the usage of water and waste management for viable agricultural development including factors like irrigation management to prevent soil and ground water salinization, production of solid fuel from oil palm waste, sustainable ecomaterials and biorefinery from agroindustrial waste, nonpoint pollution from agriculture and livestock activities on surface water. It further discusses about sustainable management of dryland resources especially carbon sequestration under changing climate scenario. The book also focuses on effective nutrient management for sustainable crop productivity in various agro-climatic conditions, soil quality and productivity enhancement under rainfed conditions. Impact of conservation tillage, agricultural tillage and agricultural traffic on soil properties has also been elucidated in the book.
