Assistive technologies have great potential to enable older people in need of care to continue living in their own homes and to support home care. In order to realise this potential to the full, the products must offer a high standard of quality for users. This book identifies quality criteria for assistive technologies and sets out indicators against which quality can be measured. To this end, a catalogue of quality indicators has been compiled. This is based on the findings of an extensive literature review and an empirical survey. As part of this, guided interviews were conducted with experts from the fields of technology and social sciences, users of assistive technologies, carers with experience of assistive technologies, and decision-makers.
