Sus personajes tienen una vitalidad y algún aceite, algo que se le pega a uno en la piel y los sentidos y no lo suelta por ratos. Sin lugar a dudas, relatos como 'La vida callada', 'El dique' y 'Las señas' son un portento de ternura. Tanto por lo que cuentan como por la excelencia con la que la autora maneja la lengua, utilizando las palabras para decir mucho más de lo que se puede decir con las palabras.
