Zasięg szczepień jest niski w Kongo (< 95%), a analiza raportów szczepień z Nkayi wskazuje na niski zasięg Penta 1 (64,34%), Penta 3 (54,65%) i RR1 (54,49%), ze wskaźnikiem rezygnacji wynoszącym > 10%, sklasyfikowanym jako kategoria 4. Celem było zbadanie czynników związanych z niskim zasięgiem szczepień dzieci w wieku 0-18 miesięcy w dzielnicy zdrowia Nkayi w 2023 roku. Przeprowadziliśmy przekrojowe badanie analityczne dzieci w wieku 0-18 miesięcy uczęszczających na szczepienia w Nkayi. Zostało ono przeprowadzone w dniach od 25 września do 24 października 2023 r., a informacje na temat profilu społeczno-demograficznego, wiedzy na temat szczepień, statusu szczepień dzieci i przyczyn braku szczepień zostały zgłoszone. W badaniu wzięło udział łącznie 469 matek. Obliczono częstości i proporcje dla zmiennych jakościowych i ilościowych. Średni wiek matek wynosił 26 lat, 67,4% kobiet mieszkało z partnerem, a 56,5% miało wykształcenie średnie; 96,6% matek miało dobrą wiedzę na temat szczepień, a 35% dzieci nie było zaszczepionych lub było zaszczepionych w niewystarczającym stopniu.
