Over a thousand years ago, the First Witch left humanity to its own devices. After a battle with the other witches, she went back to the realm she created taking the first book of spells with her. In between the veils, she disappeared - never to be heard from again. Addie’s been given a mission from the Department, and with the help of Declan must travel to the Between to retrieve this legendary book. With her mentor and friend by her side, they have no idea if the witch still inhabits the Between, or if she has long since perished.
