This N.E.W. LIFE Booklet is the fourth in a 7-volume companion series to the N.E.W. LIFE (Nutrition, Exercise, Wellness for LIFE): Biblical Support for Health and Freedom from Bondage to Food and Diets book (Chapters 6 & 7). There are 7 N.E.W. LIFE Booklets which coincide with the chapters in the N.E.W. LIFE book. Each booklet reinforces excerpts from the N.E.W. LIFE book and introduces insightful questions to support the process of healing from underlying issues that drive out-of-balance eating behaviors. The N.E.W. LIFE Booklets may be used by individuals or in a fellowship group setting to facilitate discussion.This N.E.W. LIFE Booklet focuses on how faithful God is to fight the battles with His people as well as Providing the way out of temptation. The Word of God Provides all we need to successfully overcome temptation, His Promises strengthen the struggling Christian, and even Jesus Himself Provides the example of overcoming severe temptation in direct confrontation with Satan in the desert and the Garden of Gethsemane. The reader is encouraged to fight his/her 'giants' by standing firm in the faith, memorizing Scripture to be able to wield the 'sword of the Spirit' (the Word of God) when temptation most often comes unexpectedly, being filled with the Holy Spirit and growing in relationship with God which results in loving and trusting Him more--all key elements in overcoming temptation. This Booklet also teaches the reader how to deal with the issue of desire.
