Lo scopo di questo studio è stato quello di analizzare e confrontare il potenziale dell’utilizzo della cenere di lolla di riso (RHA) e della silice di lolla di riso (RHS) in miscele separate, come materiale di sostituzione parziale del cemento e anche come materiale di riduzione del cemento in diversi conglomerati cementizi. A tal fine, è stato prodotto un impasto di riferimento e le sostituzioni e riduzioni parziali del cemento sono state effettuate a diversi livelli. Le analisi hanno permesso di individuare quale dei due pozzolani studiati si è comportato meglio in termini di resistenza alla compressione assiale, assorbimento d’acqua, rapporto di vuoto, massa specifica e slump del calcestruzzo. Lo studio ha mostrato che più alto è il tasso di sostituzione del cemento per uno dei pozzolani, maggiore è la consistenza del calcestruzzo, che perde fluidità. Le miscele differivano poco in termini di rapporto di vuoto, massa specifica e assorbimento d’acqua. La miscela che ha raggiunto la maggiore resistenza alla compressione assiale è stata la S2 (10% SCA), a 91 giorni di età, con una resistenza superiore del 25,23% rispetto al calcestruzzo di riferimento. Tuttavia, la miscela S6 (10% SCA+10% di riduzione) è stata la più efficace nel sostituire e ridurre la quantità.
