En la presente investigación, se estudió la forma en la que los profesores se relacionan con sus alumnos a través de los discursos pedagógicos. Se buscó obtener una perspectiva desde la teoría psicoanalítica, por lo que estos discursos pedagógicos fueron analizados desde la perspectiva de los Discursos del Lazo Social de la teoría psicoanalítica lacaniana. Se utilizó la metodología cualitativa con un diseño fenomenológico, obteniendo datos a través de bitácoras de campo y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Estas se llevaron a cabo con 6 maestros de distintos instrumentos musicales y se observaron 6 lecciones por ellos impartidas, a fin de observar la interacción con sus respectivos alumnos. A partir de sus testimonios se pudo evidenciar la presencia del Discurso Universitario, en cuanto al enfoque hacia el perfeccionamiento técnico del alumno y en cuanto a la producción en el mismo de un sujeto 'dividido' o en 'falta', es decir, de un sujeto en una búsqueda constante por el saber. Se observó también que la experiencia personal de cada maestro ha sido fundamental al momento de concebir la actividad docente y a la música como actividad desarrollada gracias al trabajo disciplinado.
