Manazil is a book about the 28 Arab lunar mansions. It consists of three parts. Part one provides a short introduction, as well as a history of the subject. Also included is biographical information about its most important proponents. The second part is a detailed compilation of the available core information, which has painstakingly been excerpted from many traditional sources. It provides the practitioner with easy access to the information needed for the successful creation of talismans, or the casting of auspicious elections. Here, the reader will find different names of the Angels, or Lords of the Mansion, descriptions of talismanic images, and more. Also included are the boundaries of the tropical, as well as the sidereal mansions. Manazil contains much information about the mansions’ determinant fixed stars, whose locations are precessed for modern use. The natal astrologer will also find useful material here, as the book includes detailed natal delineations for each of the 28 lunar mansions. Part three contains full transcripts of some of the most important texts on the subject. Some of them have been translated into English for the first time. For easy reference, a comprehensive index is included.
