Los corceles del fin del mundo es una novela histórica de ficción que se desarrolla en Tartessos durante el largo reinado del mítico rey Argantonio, al que se le atribuye un hermoso hijo. Joven aventurero, valiente, interesado por lo que está sucediendo y sucederá en su pequeño mundo, que aunque defendido por las legendarias columnas de Hércules, falsas leyendas de la existencia de terribles monstruos y una profunda catarata que se traga a todo el que osa acercarse. Sus grandes riquezas en minerales, agricultura y productos manufacturados poco a poco irán interesando cada vez más a los reinos del Oriente Mediterráneo a conocer su exacta ubicación con un claro ánimo de rapiña. La historia la situamos en el siglo VI antes de Cristo, justo en los finales de esta legendaria civilización con grandes tintes épicos. Otro de los argumentos fundamentales en el que se basa la trama es el origen y evolución del famoso caballo español desde siglos pretéritos, cuando con la estatura de poni recorría salvaje las amplias marismas y las influencias de otras razas venidas desde lejos. Para dotar a la obra de cierto rigor histórico se crean pequeños relatos alrededor de piezas deslocalizadas expuestas en diversos museos andaluces y acontecimientos reales.
