La tesis de doctorado que aquí tenemos fue rechazada de modo categórico por la Universidad de la Sorbona, de igual modo que la tesis secundaria titulada Pesimismo e individualismo. Ese rechazo en bloque ocurrió el 1 de noviembre de 1911. Vale decir, Palante no fue admitido para pasar la. prueba oral. Sin embargo, la tesis palantiana contiene una teoría del sujeto innovadora. A su criterio, no existe el individuo aislado sino intervenido e influido por el mapa social. El sujeto de Palante se asemeja al del psicoanálisis: es una encarnación de conflictos y lucha. Eros y thánatos: pulsión de vida y muerte. Ese sujeto inmanente, contradictorio, libre y voluntario es la expresión más clara de las antinomias que nos plantea nuestro filósofo.Antinómica, nietzscheana, individualista, antimarxista, socialista, libertaria, pesimista y comunitarista, la filosofía de Georges Palante aún espera ser descubierta. 10
