Esta actitud maternal nutre tanto física como emocionalmente al bebé, y, en cierto momento que el bebe capte que la madre esta cansada, estresada, con sentimientos negativos por dentro, el bebe pueda 'regresar' la actitud materna hacia su madre. La misma mordida que le dio el bebe a la madre para manifestar su desaliento, enojo, molestia; ahora, puede ser una mordida de animo, contento, sensación de que está conectado, que está en misma sintonía con la madre. Y esta actitud se repite en varias relaciones interpersonales, como por ejemplo la que se da entre medicos y pacientes.
