Laurie Sherman
Laurie S. Sherman is a Jewish feminist writer and ritual-maker whose work insists on moral presence over comfort. She creates books, prayer texts, and theater works meant to be spoken aloud, held collectively, and lived with-rather than resolved or consumed.Grounded in Jewish ethical and ritual tradition, feminist thought, and lived communal experience, her work spans literary nonfiction, ritual theater, reader’s theater, and participatory prayer. Sherman’s writing resists simplification and inspiration culture in favor of collective voice, disciplined attention, and ethical consequence. She lives and works in Arizona.
