Die aktuelle Studie wurde durchgeführt, um sexuell übertragbare Infektionserreger (Bakterien und Viren) durch die Entwicklung eines HRM-Assays (High Resolution Melting) mit Multiplex-Echtzeit-PCR unter Verwendung eines Primer-Sets für jeden Erreger nachzuweisen, das durch ein professionelles Softwareprogramm (Beacon Designer™ automatisiert die Entwicklung von Echtzeit-Primern und -Sonden) für den genauen Nachweis dieser Infektionen bei irakischen Patienten bestimmt wurde. In dieser Studie wurden sieben verschiedene sexuell übertragbare Krankheitserreger (3 Bakterien, 3 Viren und ein Parasit) bei 150 verdächtigen Patienten, die verheiratet waren, nachgewiesen. Die Ergebnisse der RT-PCR mit HRM-Assay der Positivkontrollen zeigten unterschiedliche Schmelzkurven, wobei jeder Schmelzpeak die Amplifikation eines der sieben Erreger darstellt, ebenso der Schmelzpeak der internen Kontrolle (Housekeeping-Gen). Dieses Experiment umfasste drei Panels, wobei Panel eins den optimalen Schmelzpeak für die Positivkontrolle von Trichomonas vaginalis, Mycoplasma hominis und Cytomegalovirus darstellt. Die Schmelztemperatur betrug jeweils 80,0℃, 84,90℃ und 88,0℃.
