His Final Season

What will Major League Baseball look like in the year 2035? Change has come quickly over the last few years for the MLB. And while no one knows what the future holds, rest assured there will be many more changes made to the game. But the story is much more than innovations to the game. Its focus on an aging baseball player as he arrives at the end of his career is the real tale. How does he come to grips with the long-time dilemma faced by all athletes, of knowing when to stop doing what you’ve always done. Of making a decision that alters your life significantly and permanently.  Has that time come for Sheldon Kent? The season that unfolds over the long, hot summer of 2035 will slowly reveal the answer. Sheldon must learn to appreciate the time he’s been given and come to grips with the conclusion that, perhaps now, it is time to give way to the next generation.
