Golden Hair and the Three Bears

'Golden Hair and the Three Bears' is a timeless retelling of one of the most beloved nursery stories in the English language. This classic folk tale follows the adventures of a curious young girl named Golden Hair, who happens upon a cozy cottage in the woods while its residents-the Great Big Bear, the Middle-sized Bear, and the Little Small Wee Bear-are away for a morning walk. Driven by curiosity and hunger, Golden Hair explores the home, sampling bowls of porridge, testing chairs, and eventually finding the perfect place to rest in the smallest bed.Retold by Clifton Johnson, this version captures the rhythmic charm and repetitive structure that have made the story a favorite for generations of young readers. The narrative balances a sense of wonder with a gentle moral lesson about boundaries and respect for others’ property.
