Entre los siglos XVI y XIX miles de galeones, navíos y naos naufragaron en las aguas de las Bahamas, Cuba, Colombia, Filipinas, Florida, México, Portugal y España con fabulosas riquezas a bordo.En este libro el lector podrá conocer con minuciosos detalles, varios naufragios acaecidos en la llamada Carrera de Indias cuyo denominador común fue transportar en sus bodegas tesoros que se perdieron en las profundidades marinas. Toda la información procede de archivos históricos y comienza en 1545 con la perdida de la nao de Nicolás Castellón en los bajos de Utila, Honduras. En 1555 naufragaron en Portugal las naos San Salvador en las playas de Buarcos y de Carrapateira, ambas en Portugal. En 1605 desaparecieron cuatro galeones de la armada de Tierra Firme. Alrededor de 1610 el naufrago Simón Zacarías encontró en una isla desierta la capitana San Roque y un tesoro que lo enterró en ella. Para la posteridad dejó el mapa de la verdadera Isla del Tesoro.
