Fusion-bonded epoxy has been used for pipeline corrosion protection for more than six decades, during which its formulation, application, qualification, and field performance have been extensively studied and refined. This handbook brings together selected technical papers to address fundamental coating principles, cathodic protection compatibility, performance under demanding service conditions, environmental exposure, degradation mechanisms, and lessons derived from long-term field experience. Editorial introductions and reflections place each contribution within the development of FBE technology and identify where subsequent research and industry practice have confirmed, refined, or extended the original findings.
