The 2025 Extravaganza One-Act Collection is a bold anthology of contemporary one-act plays created through the annual Extravaganza Festival in Los Angeles - a celebration of emerging voices, original storytelling, and the transformative power of live theater.Every play in this collection began the same way: with an idea, a risk, and the willingness to see it through. No shortcuts. No templates. No safety net.Spanning absurd comedy, dark comedy, grounded drama, experimental theater, and emotionally intimate storytelling, the anthology showcases a wide range of theatrical voices, styles, and perspectives. Each play was developed through rehearsal, collaboration, and live performance, capturing the raw creative process of artists bringing new work to life on stage.Featuring actor-driven contemporary material, ensemble pieces, and character-focused storytelling, the collection offers rich opportunities for performers, acting students, directors, small theaters, and theater educators seeking original modern plays for performance and study.Created as part of the annual Extravaganza Festival, the anthology celebrates the spirit of doing - transforming ideas into fully realized theatrical experiences through commitment, experimentation, vulnerability, and creative risk-taking.This is theater created in motion. Imperfect, alive, and unapologetically human. 6
