Introduction: Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) promotes early recovery. The objective was to evaluate adherence to these protocols in colorectal surgery in Tunisia.Methodology: A prospective, descriptive study (8 months, Mongi Slim Hospital) of patients who underwent surgery for colorectal conditions. Adherence was defined as compliance with >70% of the 22 GRACE recommendations. Results: Of 33 patients (mean age 60.5 years, 58% with neoplastic conditions, 42% treated laparoscopically), the postoperative course was uneventful in 70% of cases, with a mean hospital stay of 6.5 days. Overall adherence to RAAC was 9% (average of 13.2 recommendations followed). The guidelines regarding the avoidance of anxiolytics and thromboprophylaxis were followed 100% of the time, while early mobilization (79%) and early feeding (70%) were the least frequently followed. Conclusion: The rate of adherence to RAAC remains low. The development of a standardized national protocol would allow for better implementation of international recommendations and optimize perioperative care.
