Pedro es un joven mochilero suramericano que llega al aeropuerto de Miami con el ferviente deseo de viajar a Europa. Mientras busca opciones de vuelo, rememora 2 viajes anteriores, uno hacia el Amazonas donde trabajó como guía turístico, y el otro hacia un país suramericano donde escaló en roca junto con un amigo. En el viaje a Europa tiene la oportunidad de visitar diversos países, y aprovecha la oportunidad para hacer un curso de francés en una pequeña ciudad de Francia. La experiencia le enseña mucho sobre sus raíces, así como de la cultura, historia y tradición europeas. La historia avanza intercalada con reflexiones espirituales acerca de los aprendizajes obtenidos en el camino. El siguiente viaje es hacia Brasil, donde recorre el río Amazonas, el nordeste brasilero, y Rio de Janeiro, hasta llegar a las cataratas de Iguazú. Luego continúa hacia Bolivia y Perú, donde hace 'El Camino del Inca' durante 4 días hasta la ciudadela de Machu Picchu. Su búsqueda espiritual continúa, impulsándolo a recorrer 'El Camino de Santiago', desde Saint Jean Pied de Port, Francia hasta León, España, junto con otros 3 peregrinos: un andaluz, un vasco y un valenciano.Finalmente visita la Laguna del Agua Cristalina, donde acepta el Amor como la fuerza más poderosa del Universo, y la necesidad de transmitir este aprendizaje.
