¿Que es el amor? Pregunta en la cual se apuntala el trabajo de poetas, músicos, literatos, filósofos, sociólogos, psicólogos y hasta los químicos. Cada quien hace como la fábula del elefante; por donde lo agarra lo describe. Pero siempre hay algo que escapa, que se diluye, que se esfuma, que no encaja. Esto es inevitable. Frente a estas temáticas el saber humano siempre será incompleto. Sin embargo, cuando ya no se trata de un asunto del saber sino del hacer, 'ponerle el cuerpo al asunto', es mucho más difícil. Al amor se va como a la guerra: con ceguera, con torpeza y con sordera y, es inevitable, se paga caro por ello siempre. Las más de las veces esa ilusión de felicidad que es el amor se convierte en señal de angustia tan rápidamente como comienza. La incertidumbre aparece y un deseo se pone de plano cuando se ama, el amor es egoísta, posesivo, quiere al otro para sí y esto trae abundantes dificultades... Pretender establecer manuales del amor trae siempre el fracaso, en razón de ser un tema en el cual la teoría no alcanza para dar cuenta de su naturaleza.
