Nesta citação, vemos um apelo que nos leva a orientar o nosso trabalho para a questão do ambiente na cidade-província de Kinshasa em geral e nas escolas secundárias situadas no bairro de Mbuku em particular. Ao centrar o nosso tema de estudo no envolvimento dos alunos na proteção e gestão do ambiente das suas escolas, pretendemos, naturalmente, chamar a atenção para a necessidade de educar para as questões ambientais. Mas, acima de tudo, queremos salientar a necessidade de despertar o interesse desta faixa etária para que se familiarize desde cedo com as preocupações ambientais, que são um bem de todos nós.
