Laut der Geschichte 'hat der Franzose keine gallischen Vorfahren', was viele überraschen wird! Der echte Gallier besaß eine für die damalige Zeit imposante Größe, langes, blondes Haar und blaue Augen. Der Franzose von heute unterscheidet sich stark von diesem rassischen Bild. Heute beruht die französische Identität auf seiner republikanischen Bedeutung. Nach der römischen Annexion der reinen gallischen Rasse wurden die Gallier mit anderen Stämmen wie den Kelten, Ambiern, Helvetiern, Pikten... aus allen möglichen Stämmen geteilt. Außerdem war vor mehr als 2 000 Jahren kein Volk unter dem Namen Gallier bekannt (zusammen in Frankreich org). Das Französische selbst ist aus dem Volkslatein hervorgegangen, das Spuren der einst in der Region gesprochenen Sprache (Gallisch) bewahrt hat, mit wenig Vokabular, aber wohl mehr in der Phonetik und Grammatik (wahrscheinlich).
