Quella che oggi è conosciuta come l’occupazione araba della Palestina iniziò molto prima del periodo islamico. Per molti secoli, forse anche prima dell’inizio dell’Età del Bronzo Antico, c’erano stati scambi e movimenti di persone tra l’Arabia meridionale e la costa mediterranea della Palestina.
