El libro está dividido en dos grandes secciones. La primera destaca los aspectos esenciales de la Gramática Italiana, explicados en castellano. Los temas incluidos en esta primera parte tratan específicamente diferencias entre el italiano y el español a nivel de fonética, morfología, sintaxis y semántica. En la segunda sección de la obra, Miscelánea y Curiosidades, se señalan algunos errores comunes en que incurrimos los hispanohablantes (nuevos y antiguos estudiantes de italiano), incluyendo algunas sugerencias de cómo evitarlos. Cada uno de los apartados incluye una serie de ejemplos con su respectiva traducción. La obra también presenta una larga lista de 'falsos amigos', palabras muy parecidas entre los dos idiomas, cuyos significados pueden ser ligeramente diferentes y pueden provocar confusión.
